NAOWAO
is a Japanese/Taiwanese multidisciplinary digital artist and director currently based in Berlin. Looking at ancient rituals, mythology, and folklore, NAOWAO explores how humans connect to the world and the invisible - the voices of nature, the spirit of the cosmos, the hidden self, and divinity. Working between animation, film, and mixed reality, NAOWAO invites the viewer to alter dimensions of a world crossing time and space.
She has exhibited her works and performed in Russia, Venice, Bangkok, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Valencia, and Toyko. She is also an award-winning director at Vegas Movie Awards, New York Movie Awards, Tokyo International Short Film Fest, Montreal Independent Film Fest, and International Music Video Underground.
